ExpenseCanvas is developed and maintained by Priyanka. It is a premium, secure personal finance ledger and budgeting dashboard designed to help users take full control of their financial accounts, track custom expense envelopes, and budget efficiently with absolute privacy.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.

Primary Account Information Collection and Usage

When you sign in with your Google account, we collect and cache the following Primary Account information locally on your device:

• Full Name
• Email Address
• Photo URL (Avatar Image)
• OAuth Authorization / Connection Status
• Device Info and Logs (when an error occurs)

Purpose of Collection

• Authentication & Account Identification: Email is used to authenticate, manage your session, and secure your financial canvas.
• Namespace Isolation: Email is hashed and used as a namespace prefix to keep trial logs, high-water mark times, security configurations, and subscription details isolated and untamperable between different user accounts.
• Personalized Profile Screen: Full Name and Profile Photo URL are used strictly to customize the visual dashboard and settings screen inside the app.
• Private Cloud Backups: Securely sync your budgets, events, and transaction ledger directly to your private Google Drive folder with your explicit consent.

How We Use Your Primary Account Information

• Authentication and Account Management
• Service Provision for core ledger logging, envelope category setups, and budget progress.
• Personalization using your profile image and name.
• Google Sign-In authentication via the secure Android Credential Manager.
• Two-way cloud synchronization utilizing your private Google Drive space.

Google Drive App Data Folder Access

ExpenseCanvas uses official Google Drive App Data REST API services to let users synchronize their data across multiple devices. By using the Google Drive sync feature, you agree to the following:

• We request only the minimum required scope: Google Drive App Data Folder Access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata).
• This scope allows ExpenseCanvas to read, write, and merge a private backup JSON file (expense_canvas_sync.json) stored inside your private, hidden App Data Folder on Google Drive.
• Complete Data Privacy: The developer of ExpenseCanvas cannot access, read, view, or modify any files inside your Google Drive App Data folder. This directory is entirely isolated and protected by Google Play Services security.
• We comply strictly with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
• Your synchronized financial records are never used for advertising, profiling, or resold to any third parties.
• You may revoke Google Drive app access at any time via your Google account permissions page.

Google Play Billing SDK

ExpenseCanvas integrates the official Google Play Billing SDK to offer premium subscription access (Monthly Pass, Quarterly Saver, Annual Value) for active writing features, security locks, and synchronization. By purchasing a subscription:

• Purchases are cryptographically verified locally using Base64 RSA-SHA256 signature verification against the official developer Google Play Console public key.
• Purchased plans are linked securely and uniquely to your Google profile using the obfuscatedAccountId field to prevent purchase leaks and ensure strict multi-user account isolation.

Sharing Your Primary Account Information

We do not sell, trade, or share your financial or personal information. Information is only disclosed in the following strict scenarios:

• Legal Authorities: Only if explicitly required by law or a valid court order.
• Business Partners: Only in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the application asset (in which case the privacy policy terms remain fully active).

Data Retention & Security

All financial logs, categories, events, and budgets are stored in a secure local SQLite (Room) Database on your device. ExpenseCanvas retains your cached Primary Account details only as long as needed to maintain your signed-in session or as required by law.

To safeguard your ledger, ExpenseCanvas features robust security PIN lock gates and local biometric scans. Access tokens used to fetch Drive synchronization files are held securely in-memory and are never exposed to unauthorized parties.

Log Data

When an error or crash occurs while using our Service, we may collect diagnostics logs (via Google Play Console or local debug streams) including your device IP address, device name, operating system version, app version, and usage stats to assist us in debugging.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our local caches and servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Advertising & Third-Party Tracking

ExpenseCanvas is a **100% ad-free, privacy-first utility application**.

• We DO NOT integrate any third-party ad serving SDKs (such as Google AdMob or Start.io).
• We DO NOT collect, monitor, or track your physical location or browser search history.

Consent

Account & Data Deletion

You can instantly sign out or delete your account inside the app's settings menu at any time. Deleting your account instantly purges all local database files, cached trial records, subscription states, and session credentials from the device.
